Hello all,
Welcome to my blog!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Melissa Lee, I'm just a small town girl from Southern Ontario who loves to read. Like I mentioned in my description, I grew up in a family of book lovers. I went from having a box full of books in my parents living room to filling up bookcases of my own. Currently all of the shelves in my apartment are full, but that won't stop my addiction, ha. In my opinion being a book addict is one of the best addictions a person could have. My boyfriend just rolls his eyes whenever I bring home more. He has also been known to steer me away from the book aisle when we are shopping. Not that it stops me because when I find a book I'm interested in I have a hard time walking away, unless it comes with me.
I enjoy reading all kinds of books really. Although I can't say I'm a huge fan of horror stories, paranormal or dystopian stories. Sorry to anyone reading this who enjoys those genres, but those are the ones I'm less likely to feature in my blog. That being said, I'm not that picky. A good book is a good book, right? However if you enjoy historical fiction, contemporary, mysteries, romance and non fiction, you are in luck! Those seem to be the genres that I fill up my shelves and TBR lists.
I have been toying with the idea of creating a blog for some time now. What stopped me was the fact that I didn't know how to start. To be honest the idea of creating one is somewhat daunting considering how many amazing book blogs there are online. I don't know the first thing about formatting and maintaining a webpage! But then I thought to myself; who cares? I'm doing this because of my love for books, for a creative outlet and a way of connecting with others with similar interests. Its not going to be perfect but everyone has to start out somewhere right?
Here goes nothing..
Happy reading.

Welcome, Melissa!
ReplyDeleteBlogging can be a little tricky at first, but it's definitely easy to learn as you go. :)
