  1. The Color Purple is wonderful...I read it for AP English in high school (which was, um, a little while ago) and it's definitely one I need to read again!

  2. I liked the Little House books when I was a kid, something about the frontier and starting fresh out there appealed to me. I don't think I read them all though- I bet it would be interesting to revisit.

    1. I read them as a kid as well, but I don't think I gave them the appreciation they deserved. It was nice to revisit the first book last year and I look forward to continuing on with the series.
