See my new Sunday Wrap-up picture? I've been meaning to add one for a while, especially since I have started regularly doing these posts at the end of every week. Ok, so I'm a day late today, but it still counts right? Right.
I don't have much to report here, as this week was pretty quiet. Hopefully this week will be more exciting.
Bout of Books kept me quite busy this past week. As you can see from the image, it started on monday (the 4th) and ended yesterday (the 10th). I did good for the first few days, then for some reason I didn't get much accomplished in the last few days of the read-a-thon.

Look at that? 5 days of posts in a row. I don't think I've ever done that since starting this blog. I'm feeling very optimistic.
In a previous Sunday Wrap-up I mentioned that the books from my Aldiko reader on my Kobo had all expired as I was in the middle of an ARC. So I sent a message to the publisher (Kensington) and they said they'd send me a finished copy. How nice was that? They sent me a nice hardcover copy of:
I am looking forward to picking up where I left off and hopefully I will get it finished in a couple of days. Sending out a big thank you to Kensington!
I am also slowly making my way through an ARC of:
I'm reading this book on my laptop so it is taking me a lot longer to complete. Bout of Books helped me make some progress on it though.
And that's all for me. I hope that you all have a wonderful week. If you posted a weekly wrap-up I'd love to see it so leave me your link in the comments.

Thank you Lisa. I love those kind of weeks as well. :)
Delete4 books is a great start to your reading year. Congrats on having blog posts scheduled, I'm still getting back into routine lol. Have a great week and enjoy your reads!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and yes I'd love to chat with you about our similar experience with virus affecting the heart. I will probably be on medication for life but small price to pay I guess. Are you still recovering?
Hope you are settling back into a routine. I find it takes some time to get motivated.
DeleteThank you for returning the visit.
Somehow I got an infection a couple of months after having my pacemaker replaced. I've had heart problems since I was 15. The infection just kept spreading so I have to have open heart surgery. Its been 5 1/2 years now and I'm still dealing with the emotional trauma of it all.
How are you feeling? Did you have surgery as well?
Can't believe I missed Bout of Books! Great job with your reading!
ReplyDeleteThat was really nice of Kensington to send you a finished copy of the book. I've had ARCs expire before and usually end up borrowing the print version from the library so I can finish the book and review it.
Ah sorry to hear you missed Bout of Books. Hopefully you can participate in the next one.
DeleteI thought maybe Kensington would send me another ARC eBook, but was really surprised when they said they'd send at finished copy. In hardcover none the less. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.
