Month in review is a monthly meme which was created by Kathryn at Book Date.
For me, August was a month for getting back on track with my
reading after making poor progress in July. Thankfully, with the help of Bout
of Books I was able to get in gear. In the end I did much better than I thought
I would. Click below to see my master update post from the read-a-thon.
In an effort to get in better shape I signed on for Fit
Readers. My goal is to start making better choices in the food I eat and to get
more active. My first week went better than expected as it happened to coincide
with a camping trip I went on. I did a lot of walking this past weekend and
managed to have at least 1 serving of fruit every day. I am also trying to
drink water instead of pop or sugary juices but I admit that is slow going. To

Thank you for checking out my month in review. How did
August go for you? Did you reach your reading goal for the month?
I haven't read Jodi Picoult yet. I do have 'Between the Lines' that she wrote with her daughter. I'd like to read that soon.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great August! I hope you have a wonderful September!
Is Between the Lines her newest release?
DeleteThank you for stopping by. All the best in September to you as well.
No, it came out in 2012. They just came out with a sequel or companion book to BTP called, Off the Page. It looks good too!
DeleteOhh ok. I will have to check it out. :)
DeleteHmm I remembering the Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood a long time ago, I didn't think it would be 'me' but I do know I liked it quite a bit. All the best for September and do keep up Fitreaders - it really motivates me.
ReplyDeleteI read it about 10 years ago, but I don't think I gave it enough of a chance, so I'm going to re-read it and see how I like it this time around.
DeleteThank you Kathryn! All the best in September to you as well. :)
These books looks nice. And you seem to be doing very well with your challenges :) Have a great September!

ReplyDeleteThank you Pat. I hope I can keep up with it.
DeleteGood luck on the switch to water from soda - it's not easy but my dentist tells me it's important :)
ReplyDeleteYou had a good month of books. I'm impressed with your challenges too!
Thank you Mary. Its going to be tough because I enjoy it.. even if I can just cut back a little bit, its better than nothing.
