Monthly Wrap-up: February 2015

I was hoping to get this wrap-up posted on the first, but considering it was my birthday I was a bit busy. February was a pretty uneventful month. I was kept busy working, reading and crocheting. The 14th brought Valentines Day. My honey surprised me with flowers and chocolate. We had some extremely cold days this past month, here in southern Ontario. Normally I love winter, but for some reason this year I can’t wait for it to be over.

This past month in reading was much better than that of January. I completed 5 books, compared to last months 6. Although I read 1 less book in February, I enjoyed the stories much more. Sure it is nice to see my number of books read get closer to my total goal for the year, but I’ve come to realize that I would much rather read less books and love them rather than more and not.

I cheated a bit on my book ban a couple of weeks ago, but I did get some good deals. Check out my small haul at the link below.

I posted the third installment of my adventures in crocheting on the 8th.

Upcoming on ML’s Many Reads:
My plan for this month is to post another crochet adventure. I will work on getting that up within a week or so. I’m trying not to be too hard on myself in regards to adding to my TBR pile because let’s be honest it’s not nearly as bad as bad and I am almost finished the last ARC I was sent.
I downloaded the program GIMP last night and I am planning on watching some tutorials on how to use it. I would like to be able to customize my blog by editing pictures, making collages and just learning more about the basics of blogging. Hopefully I can figure out how to do a new layout as well.
Another idea I have been thinking about is including some product reviews, so I’m excited to see where that will lead me.

  1. You seem to be making good progress on your challenges. I've been a little behind on my challenge since last month because I'm reading the complete works of E.A. Poe (1400 pages!) But I guess that just means I've been favoring quality for quantity, which is honestly quite refreshing.
