Sunday Post #2 and Stacking the Shelves

This past week was pretty uneventful in my life. Last weekend I brought home a new bookcase as I had run out of shelf space for all of the books I have hauled this year. It required some reorganizing in my bedroom and I have to say that I am happier with my new setup. Here is a picture of the bookcase:
Shelf Kitty not included.

He isn't very happy now that it is full of books. As you can see it isn’t very big but I didn’t want to clutter up that space too much. Now all of my books are in place and I am very pleased with how it all came together. As my main bookcase is in my living-room I wanted to display my books in a more presentable way. I’ve seen so many great shelf tours on BookTube and I am just amazed at how beautifully arranged some people’s collections are. My library pales in comparison, but it looks a hell of a lot better than it did. Even my boyfriend likes it, but to be honest I think he is just glad they aren’t all piled in a corner anymore, ha. Stay tuned for a shelf tour coming up soon.

    1. Thank you Megan, I think he is cute too. I'm a bit biased though hehe. I'm really curious to see how the author approaches the Anne and Henry in modern times. It will be interesting.

  4. I remember buying new bookshelves two or maybe it was three years ago...and now I am purging and giving away shelves to my daughter! LOL

But I started thinking about how, when/if I move at some point, I didn't want the same scenario I had last time...it was exhausting sorting out the books afterwards.

But I'm sure your situation is different...enjoy!

There is nothing better than gazing at books surrounding you...

    1. I definitely see your point. We do plan to stay where we are for a little while longer, so I'm sure I will accumulate even more books by the time we move. I'm trying to be a good girl though, heh.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Yes, my books really needed a home lol. Plus my kitten has plenty of other spots to choose from so he will get over it.. Or I will come in one day to my books all over the floor and him napping on an empty shelf, lol!
Hope you have an amazing week as well. :)

  6. Your kitty is adorable! That picture with him in the new bookcase is too cute. I could use another bookshelf as well as I am runnign out of shelfspace. Maybe early next year I can get a new one.
How are you liking Pane and Suffering? I read it this week and thought the glass shop setting was done well, but beside that it was just an okay read for me. I hope you have a great week!

So far Pane and Suffering is keeping my attention. I also like the glass shop setting, but I am questioning the main character a bit already..
Hope you have a great week as well.

    1. Haha thank you Amy. How exactly does one celebrate a new bookcase? Should I crack open a bottle or something? :)
He just thought the new bookcase was a new play spot for him. It was cute.

  8. My brother, SIL and niece have two cats and they have these tiny spaces in wall units and on bookshelves that their cats climb into. I have no idea how they get in or out but they tend to love sleeping in there!

  9. At some point I'm just going to need a house with an actual room that is a library to keep up with all the books I keep getting. And I hate getting rid of them, even though I know I should. Love the cover of All Fudged Up! Enjoy your new books!
