Sunday Wrap-up: July 3, 2016

Hello everyone and happy July!

This past week was kind of a busy one for me as my partner and I took an impromptu road trip to Sudbury, which is a city in northern Ontario. We did some sight-seeing and stayed the night, then headed home the next afternoon. It was such a nice get-away. I posted this picture in my June wrap-up, but here it is again..

Sudbury is known for its nickel mines and The Big Nickel is one of its tourist attractions. We also visited Science North, which is an interactive science centre. All in all it was a very laid back trip. We didn't rush around trying to cram in as much sight-seeing as we could. Just relaxing in our hotel was nice as well.

My Reading Progress:

Before we left for our trip I was able to finish up:

It was a good story set in Boston during the construction of the first subway in US. I gave it a 3.5/5 rating.

NOTE: I had hoped to get up a post featuring my top favourite songs from 1971, as inspired by the book 1971: Never a Dull Moment: Rock's Golden Year, but wasn't able to finish it on time. I hope to reschedule this post for next week.

Coming up this week:

Monday: Book Review: The Melody Lingers On by Mary Higgins Clark RATING: 3/5
Tuesday: Top 10 Tuesday: Top 10 Books that have less than 2000 Goodreads Ratings

  1. Sudbury looks nice, I love a good roadtrip in the summer. Glad you guys had a good time. And I'll look forward to your post on songs from 1971, I have a soft spot for old rock songs and should be fun to see waht you come up with. That book does look interesting. :)
