Sunday Wrap-up: June 5, 2016

Welcome to the first weekend of June! I don't have a whole lot to share with you in terms of offline ramblings other than this one picture:

SO yummy! Moving on..

 My Reading Progress

Despite being somewhat busy this week, I made great progress with my reading.

Books Completed
My partner and I continued on to the second Percy Jackson book in audio format. We both enjoyed it, although I wasn't as wrapped up in the story as I was when listening to the first book. I gave it a 3-3.5 rating.

I plowed through this chunker of a book. I just couldn't put it down. I gave it a 4/5 rating and I'm looking forward to reading the second book in the Robert Langdon series.

Latest Additions (April 2016)

Today I wanted to share the latest books I have added to my collection during the month of April.

Earlier in the month I got an e-mail from Kobo with a $5 credit to my account to buy whatever I liked on their website. Here are the two books I chose:

I have added several free books to my Kindle for PC:

And last but not least a book I have been anticipating for a year now..

Sunday Wrap-up: February 28, 2016 and Small Book Haul

Hello everyone,
Well its the end of February already! Had another boring week on my end, but tonight I did have an enjoyable time. I went out for a nice dinner at one of my favourite Irish restaurants to celebrate my birthday. An early birthday celebration actually. I turn 29 on Tuesday (March 1). The last year of my 20's! YIKES!

I am currently participating in a Spring Break Read-a-thon, along with my fellow members of the Goodreads group Bookworm Bitches. I am keeping track of my progress on this master post. So far I am happy with my progress, although it has kind of took a side track due to today's busyness.

After dinner tonight I took an unplanned visit to Chapters. And well I couldn't walk out without buying anything.

Here are the new additions to my shelves:

And a closer look..

I also added the following ebooks to my TBR:

Sunday Wrap-up: January 24 2016

It was a very bitter sweet week for me. I helped my parents move and said goodbye to my childhood home. We have a lifetime of memories in the old house, so it was very hard to let it go. However I am so happy for my parents and their new home is beautiful. I'm sure we will have many happy memories there as well.

As I helped them pack up, I couldn't help but think of the song The House that Built Me by Miranda Lambert..

"And I bet you didn't know, under that live oak my favourite dog is burried in the yard"
"...won't take nothing but a memory from the house that built me."

It will get easier I'm sure, but right now I'm just sad.

One of my favourite rooms in their new house is in the basement:

I can't wait to curl up beside the fire with a good book.

New Additions

I would like to thank Broadway Books for sending me this book in the mail:

I will be reading and reviewing it for TLC Book Tours.
